Brief Answer:
ENHANCES LUNG MATURITY, SAFE TO BE TAKEN.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
My heartiest congratulations to you and your wife for having achieved a much needed and precious pregnancy.
Yes, twin pregnancies are notoriously known for being preterm deliveries too.
Inj. Betamethasone is what I think you mean ( there is a typing error in the spelling of the drug ).
This is a steroid injection.
Its main action is to act on the lungs of your unborn child and improve the lung maturity.
The main danger with preterm birth is that the infant's lungs are immature, and the baby suffers from breathing difficulties and other complications.
Betamethasone injections are proven to enhance this capacity of the lungs of the child.
It is quite safe to take it, as there are very rare side effects, and the benefits vastly over ride the risks.
For twin pregnancies, it is essential to take this drug, as preterm birth is quite a distinct possibility.
All the best with this god given pregnancy.
Please feel free to discuss further.
