Does Usage Of Tretinoin Cream Help In Treating Grade 2 Acne On Face?

Question: Hey doctor i've started using Stieva-A (0.05) Tretinoin cream as prescribed by the doctor along with doxycycline 100mg daily for grade 2 acne.

Now my question is am I using it right?

At the moment I wash my face at night just with water and then wait around 30 minutes after drying my face to apply a dot of Stieva to each side of my face and rub it in so it covers my t zone but it is a very light amount. Would it be ok to use a clenser at night in the shower is there certain ingredients I can't have on before applying the cream?

In the morning I do use the clenser along with a toner and moisturiser that contain sacrylic acid. My skin is of a dry type and it is very sensitive would it be wise to still use the Stieva every night? I did have a very bad reaction to Benzoyl Peroxide with my skin becoming very red and flaky about 3 weeks ago which is why I was put on the doxy at first but now I have also been prescribed the Stieva-A so I am hoping the Tretinoin ingredient  won't be as bad. I have been using it for 4 days now and I have noticed some flakeness and some small pimples popping up but its not too bad yet. On average how long does Tretinoin take to work as well and does everyone experience the initial acne outbreak?

Brief Answer:
Use adapalene

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
Tretinoin cream can also cause allergy.
Generally benzoyl peroxide is less irritant.
It would be better if you apply adapalene instead of tretinoin.
Follow short contact method.
In evening wash your face with a cleanser and apply adapalene gel.
Keep it for one hour and wash off.
Apply a mild moisturiser and sleep.
In morning apply a water based sunscreen.
This should help you.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.

I will talk with my doctor about it but could I do the same thing with the Tretinoin applying it for one hour and then washing off? If I had an allergic reaction to Benzoyl Peroxide wouldn't it be better for me to stay away from it?
