Does Low AMH Value Effect The Success Of The Pregnancy?
Question: hi doc,
I am 31 and my AMH level is 1.35. I was told by my Doc said that AMH is pretty low and suggested that I do an IUI for 2 cycles (which he said most likely will not be successful). I did my IUI on Nov 15 for the first time and on the 29th of Nov my urine test showed positive. I when ahead with my blood test on the same day (which is 2 weeks post my iui) and my Beta value was 291 and after 48 hrs the beta value was 651.
Since I had a low AMH value I am worry if this pregnancy will be successful and if what are my chances of giving birth to a healthy baby. Kindly advice as I am very worried.

2) Many women with this level of AMH do conceive naturally and continue pregnancy.
3) It is good that you have conceived with IUI. The pregnancy will go ahead like any other natural pregnancy and no complications just because AMH was low.

Thank you very much for your response doc. i have one more query i was given injection HM6 150 for a couple of days to bring my egg to a considerable size as my egg before going ahead with IUI. I guess this was done because the egg was not of great quality (not sure of this statement though).
My question is does that mean that there are chances that I the baby might have some deficiencies as the fetus/embryo may not develop as expected?

HMG is normally given to improve follicle size in any ovulation induction cycle.
This does not mean the follicle is of inferior quality.
This absolutely has no effect on baby's development and there is no question of deficiency.

Hi Doc,
Yesterday (Dec 10) I had my 1st virginal scan and the Doc could only see a sac. No yolk or heart beat. I want to know if the development as per my pregnancy week is fine or not?
2nd question: for the last 2 days I am having some very light brown discharge and at times I am passing dark brown/black strings of tissue about 2 times a day. Is it normal?
Kindly advice
I also want to add that I have no cramping along with the discharge

1. Heart beat should have been visible by now. But if there is delayed implantation, it should be visible by next week.
2. This development is normal at your gestational age.
3. Passing dark brown discharge with or without cramping is not normal. Baby is possibly trying to abort.
4. Take complete bed rest and progesterone injections. Discuss regarding this with your doctor.
