Answered by Dr. Dr. Muhammad Sareer Khalil (9 hours later)
Brief Answer: XXXXXXX doesn't cause iron deficiency

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern
XXXXXXX syndrome is a relatively benign condition resulting in elevated levels of bilirubin due to defects in either binding or uptake of the substance produced as a result of red cell destruction and metabolism.

It does not lead to iron deficiency. XXXXXXX is not treated with any specific medication. Complete blood count and Peripheral smear can be advised. If evidence of iron deficiency is found then ferritin , TIBC, transferrin as part of iron panel study can be advised in consult with your doctor. If the above investigations are normal then the person in question is not iron deficient.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks

Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

No, radiation exposure does not cause iron deficiency , directly. Radiations exposure can affect the process of normal cell division leading to malignancy. This also depends upon the energy of radiation and the degree of penetrance of the radiation.
