Does Intake Of Sildenafil And Tadalafil Help In Treating Erectile Dysfunction?
Question: I am 48 year old married person. I am suffering erectile dysfunction right from early married life. As suggested by others I use to take sildenafil citrate 10-20 mg. often in early married life with moderate side effect like stuffy nose and sometimes tolerable gastric. Right now I am in same state and sometimes instead of using sildenafil citrate I use Tadalafil 10 mg with same side effect. It may be noted that I have normal BP and a bit enlarged prostate as per USG which I have been taking tamsulosin 0.2 mg capsules regularly. I view of the above your advice on my ED probelm is appreciable.

As such sildenafil and tadalafil are good drug for erectile dysfunction. Maximum dose of sildenafil is 100 mg and that of tadalfil is 40 mg. You can ask your doctor to increase the dose if you can tolerate.
You should go for Serum testosterone level : Fasting morning sample should be given and free and total testosterone should be assessed. If deficiency is there, supplement can be given with caution as already you have prostate enlargement.
Medicine cum vitamin supplement containing pyridoxal-5-phosphate, mecobalamin and l-methylfolate (trade name tetrafol plus)is very helpful in my patients. It has shown improvement in 50-60 patients of mine with. You should take it after meal twice a day. If you feel some improvement in 20 days you should continue for at least 2 months. You may get this medicine over the counter as it is vitamin product.
As you are likely form XXXXXXX I would like to also mention ayurvedic medicine option. Tentex forte is the medicine which is used for ED. No side effects have been reported.
At present I would recommend Tetrafol plus and tentex forte in your case.
