Does Intake Of Allegra Help In Curing Swelling And Itching In Ear?
Question: This could be due to cold weather (perniosis) Or may be due to sun induced allergy. Helix of ears are the most exposed part and are very prone to develop swelling and itching due to cold (perniosis).
Hives as a possibility is unlikely because of localised involvement and because the condition has persisted beyond 24 hours. Hives usually resolve within a few hours.
I would suggest you to use a topical moderately potent steroid cream e.g Momate-F cream, twice daily, at affected sites.
You may continue with Allegra tablets.
Protect yourself from sun and from exposure to cold.

This is what had written earlier. Doctor, I had started medication since that day. I have taking allegra since last 3 days now. Left ear is fine and recovering and same with the right ear.
But now since last one hour I see same thing happening to the right ear at the bottom portion. Earlier it was localised to upper outside half of both the ears.
This new thing is again itching like the previous one. I have still applying Momate F Cream 4 times a day. Should I start allegra again? Please confirm else what should I do. Is Allegra 120mg same as ALLERHIN D PLUS 120MG. I have seen them to be of same salt but Allerhin is cheaper relatively.

Yes. You should take an antihistamine for itching i.e either Allegra (i.e fexofenadine), once daily Or you may take LCZ-10 tablets (i.e Levocetrizine 10 mg) once daily. LCZ is a cheaper alternative. Take it once daily in evening i.e by 7PM or 8 PM. Continue for a longer duration i.e 2-3 weeks.
Allerhin-D is a preparation for viral cold, nasal congestion and fever. It contains cetrizine, rather than fexofenadine. Don't have to take this preparation.
