Brief Answer:
possible seizures

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
I think I would be able to help you.

The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible epilepsy. In fact feeling of abnormal sensation or smell is a common feature od aura- a condition that usually comes before seizures. Also many small seizures called focal seizures have smell as a component.

I think I would suggest that you have a test - EEG. The test may be falsely normal. But if it's positive a definitive diagnosis of seizure can be considered. I also think that you can get a MRI BRAIN.

Eventually, you will have to talk to a neurologist. The medicine group for seizures is a prescription drug.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
