Brief Answer:
Blood transfusion does not lead to depression

Detailed Answer:
HI
Thanks for using healthcare magic. I, Dr Abhishek Kapoor, would help you in this query.

Depression is a psychological disorder. It could be due to multiple reasons like any brain dysfunction, stress, family issues, any adjustment issues, endocrinal disorder like hypothyroidism, cushing sydrome, seasonal variation or certain drugs like cannabis, alcohol, opioids, chronic physical illness etc. Blood tranfusion never leads to depression. It could lead to change in some eletrolyte like sodium, potassium or calcium etc in body, but it never causes depression.

In your case, chronic physical illness could be the cause of depression rather than blood transfusion.

In case, you have more query, you can ask.
