Triamcinolone acetonide is a moderately potent steroid whereas hydrocortisone is a very mild steroid. So if you are going to use triamcinolone acetonide cream on a particular area on face then there is no point using hydrocortisone cream on that same area simultaneously because the response of the two won't add up i.e it would be the same to triamcinolone acetonide cream used alone as it would be to both, triamcinolone acetonide cream and hydrocortisone cream used together. Though you can use them at separate times if instructed to do so e.g if your doctor specifically asks not to use a potent topical steroid like triamcinolone acetonide on the face too often.

Triamcinolone acetonide 0.1% cream alone is good enough but it may take up to 2 weeks for a complete response. If you have an eczematous condition on face then in addition to the topical steroid cream you may also use a moisturizer on your face frequently.

A moisturizer would not only help your eczema but would also help reduce the side effects of the topical steroid cream on face.
