Brief Answer:
Prevastatin does not increase blood pressure.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

Prevastatin is a medication that lowers the cholesterol and some of other lipids when they are higher then normal.

It does not increase blood pressure.

Liver enzyme tests should be performed before starting prevastatin therapy and as clinically indicated thereafter.

It gives some side effects and one that may be related to you is the increase of blood sugar and the HbA1C. So if you have diabetes, you may want to consider to monitor closely you fasting blood sugar and adapt the doses of your treatment.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.

Regards,
Dr. Papaqako
