Does Nefazodone Cause Over-sedation?

Question: It's taking nefazodone 100 mg for 4 weeks now feel oversadated what happen?

For anxiety and depression, I havnt been able to take other antidepressants. Did the med built up to a place that over sedated me should I go down cuz I can't stand the sedation it's like Iam drunk.

Sertraline is a good option.

Hi dear.Thanks for writing me back.

I were to suggest Nefazadone only if your had a difficult in sleeping or sleep disturbances due to anxiety/depression.Since you haven't previously been on any other medication I were to suggest SSRI(Sertraline) which relatively causes less sedation.Equally good alternative is Escitalopram but only after proper cardiac evaluation.
