Does Claritin Interact With Oxycontin?

Question: My husband takes oxtcontin for severe pain. But this morning he took Claritin for his allergies. Now he has a severely stiff neck which he normally would take the OxyContin for. Since it's Saturday we can't call our family doctor. Could he have a bad reaction if he takes this prescription medicine with otc allergy medicine?

However I do not think that taking Claritin constitutes any obstacle to taking Oxycontin. The two drugs do not interact with each other and can be safely taken together.
