Brief Answer:
There is risk

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for your query.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns about X ray exposure.

Following is my reply:

1) Plase tell how many weeks pregnant she is.

2) If she is in early pregnancy X rays might affect the baby. IT is important that she visits her doctor soon.

3) There is no need to terminate pregnancy. She can continue pregnancy and wait for the ultrasound scans to be done at 12 weeks and 20 weeks of pregnancy.

4) No need to terminate pregnancy because of this exposure.

I hope I answered you query and addressed your concerns.

Let me know if you wish to ask any further questions. I will be glad to help you.

Regards,
Dr. Mahesh Koregol.
