Do Concerta, Lexapro, Lorazepam, And Naproxen Cause Erectile Dysfunction?

default
Posted on Wed, 7 Oct 2015
Question: I am 61 y/o and I can't get an erection or have an orgasm not matter how long or vigorously I masterbate. The medications I take regularly are: Buspar, Namenda, Concerta, Lexapro, Lorazepam, and Naproxen, plus I smoke a pack a day. Quiting smoking is a no-brainer, but I am curious which medications are the greatest culprits. Some of these medications I think I could live without, especially considering my dubiousness about the actual efficacy of some of them. Thanks much, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Lexapro, lorazepam and namenda are your culprits

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. In my opinion the main culprits are the following, arranged in order of their contribution:

1. Lexapro: The number one culprit in my eyes; causes decreased interest in sexual intercourse, loss in sexual ability, desire, drive or performance,
2. Lorazepam: A close second which can cause loss of interest or pleasure (including sexual desire)
3. Namenda: Decreased interest in sexual intercourse; loss in sexual ability, desire, drive or performance

Buspar, concerta and naproxen have little or no contribution towards the side effects you are experiencing and in my opinion are totally innocent. I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.

Best wishes.
