My AMH is 5.2 pmol/L, FSH 6.2, LH 2.0 can I conceive naturally at the age of 47? Is my AMH low?

An AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) level of 5.2 pmol/L can be considered low for your age, as it typically decreases as women get older. It can be challenging to conceive naturally, especially at the age of 47. FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone) and LH (Luteinizing Hormone) levels within the normal range are positive indicators, but low AMH can lead to failure to get pregnant.

Certainly, here are some reference ranges for a typical semen analysis:

1. **Volume:** 1.5 to 6.5 milliliters (mL)
2. **Sperm Concentration:** 15 million to 200 million sperm per mL
3. **Total Sperm Count:** 39 million to 928 million sperm per ejaculate
4. **Sperm Motility:** At least 40% of sperm should have progressive motility (moving forward).
5. **Sperm Morphology:** At least 4% of sperm should have normal morphology (normal shape).

Regarding AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone), it's a hormone produced by ovarian follicles and reflects ovarian reserve. While it's difficult to significantly improve AMH levels through vitamins or supplements, maintaining overall good health can support reproductive function-

1. **Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle:** Eat a balanced diet, engage in regular exercise, manage stress, and get adequate sleep. All of these factors can positively influence reproductive health.

2. **Folate (Folic Acid):** Adequate folate intake is essential for female reproductive health. It's found in leafy greens, citrus fruits, and fortified cereals.

3. **Antioxidants:** Antioxidants like vitamin C and vitamin E may support reproductive health. These are found in fruits, vegetables, and nuts.

4. **Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10):** Some studies suggest that CoQ10 may have a positive impact on egg quality. It's available as a supplement.

Regarding hormone blood tests, the timing depends on the specific hormone you're testing. For AMH and FSH, these can be measured at any time during the menstrual cycle since they are not cycle-dependent. However, for hormones like LH (Luteinizing Hormone) and estradiol (a form of estrogen), it's typically best to have them measured on specific days of the menstrual cycle. For example, LH and estradiol levels are often checked on Day 3 of the menstrual cycle (Day 1 being the first day of full menstrual flow).

Semen is low, but It is fertile.
But for you, your reports are not good, that is why your doctor said that you can not conceive.
So go for in vitro fertilisation.
