Hi, thanks for your query.
One sided headache can be because of 2 common reasons, like migraine and sinusitis.
Both are different diseases with different clinical entity.
In sinusitis, pt has nose block, running nose, nasal discharge, post nasal drip, headache, ear block.
In migraine, pt has throbbing one sided headache, associated with nausea, blurred vision, dizziness, intolerance to light and loud sound and sometimes
vomiting.
So please give us information regarding your other symptoms so that we can analyses better.
Empirically you can take diclofenac tablet which isa pain killers to reduce your headache.
Unless clinically examined and diagnosed , it would be difficult to treat headache.

Thanks i do have sinus drainage. The goes along the right side of my head. Is this common with sinus discomfort? Its more pressure like vs pain

Yes it is common to have one sided headache with pressure in head when u have sinusitis.
This needs clinically evaluation and treatment.
Please do consult with the doctor and get treated.
If I were your treating doctor, I would have clinically examined you , confirmed my diagnosis of sinus infection, if it's acute treat , then it is treated with antibiotics+ anti inflammatory medicines+ antihistamines +decongestant nasal drops + steam Inhalation for 5 to 7 days.
If it's chronic sinus infection, then would recommend for a ct scan and then advise for surgical treatment if needed.
Empirically you can take antihistamines+decongestant tablet+decongestant nasal drops+ steam Inhalation.
If symptoms persist, consult with an ent specialist.

In my experience, only sphenoidal sinusitis can create pressure points at scalp occasional upto 3 % chances.
Other sinuses do not cause it.

Sinusitis can cause eustachian tube dysfunction which will cause popping in the ear.
