Brief Answer:
Probiotics have to be taken with antibiotics for at least 5 days

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Probiotics is defined as live organisms which when administered in adequate amounts confer a health benefit to the host. A proper probiotic organism should have a beneficial properties like immune stimulation, protection against pathogens, metabolism and be nonpathogenic, resistant to low pH and acids, thereby persisting in the intestine, and able to attach and multiply in the gut epithelium. About 50 strains of organisms are known to be good probiotics.

Research has been done with probiotics in amebiasis. It has been concluded that a beneficial effect of administration of the probiotic yeast Saccharomyces boulardii in association with antibiotics was reported in acute amoebiasis due to Entamoeba histolytica, with significant decrease of the duration of symptoms (diarrhea, fever, abdominal pain) and presence of cysts in stools.

In amebiasis a dose of at least five billion colony forming units per day for at least 5 days is recommended with antibiotics to help in early cure. Alone probiotics will not treat amebiasis and has to be taken with antibiotic medicine.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.

Brief Answer:
Please take orflox OZ for 5 days and avoid contaminated food and water

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

It is caused by contamination of water and food. If you avoid outside food and drink clean water then you will not get amebiasis. Orflox OZ has to be taken for complete course through 5 days for cure. It is a powerful medicine and will kill the disease causing bacteria. Please drink lots of water and eat fruits and home cooked food for 15 days for complete cure and recovery.

Hope your query is answered.
