Yes! Your concern is right. It is one of the recognized side effects of hydrocodone. It is an opiod analgesic and is known to cause motility problems specially with gut and bladder movements.

It had been evaluated that such incidences increase with simultaneous use of hydrocodone with acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Also in females and elderly incidence is higher than others.
