Brief Answer:
commonly type 1

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I am Dr Mittal. I have read your query. I think I would be able to help you.

First, you need to kknow that there are other causes of urine ketone besides diabetes. Even starvation can cause raised urine ketone.

If you have diabetes, the ketone usually comes if the sugars are too high. And that can happen in both types of diabetes. So just this is not a satisfactory criteria to differentiate 1 and 2.

Officially of course, it's supposed to be more common in type 1 diabetes.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
