Brief Answer:
Weaning should be started after 6 months of age

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Can understand your concerns.

As the child grows the requirement of calories increase. After 6 months of age, breastfeeding is not sufficient for baby and you have to start outside milk and other food items gradually.

You should continue exclusive breastfeeding till 6 months of age and after that add outside milk and other food items.

Breastfeeding at night doesn't lead to cavities.

I hope this will help you.
Take care.
