Can A Person With PCOS Have Duphaston And Her-NMP While Trying To Conceive?
Question: Hi Doctor, my wife is undergoing treatment for pregnancy from last 6-7 months, her ultrasound report shows PCOS. After taking the treatment her folicle ruptures but she is unable to conceive. Doctor prescribes HerNMP 200 and Duphaston. We doubt HerNMP have seen on internet that it can cause abortion. Please guide should she continue both of the above tablets. the utlrasound report of 29 Nov shows her folicle ruptured

Progesterone is given to make the uterine environment more favourable For the conception.
However, there will is no need to take two drugs containing the same compound.

Thanks for the reply, as per your suggestion will go with duphastone. kindly let me know for how many days this medicine should be taken and if any other medicine will be required for my wife's pregnancy

She should also take folic acid tablet daily as taking it in preconceptional and periconceptional period reduces the risk of congenital anomalies in the fetus.
