Brief Answer:
It is safe if given in adequate dosage

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

For management of fever paracetamol along with tepid water sponging is safest.
Sometimes the temperature does not decreases by giving paracetamol. In that condition Ibugesic plus (contains ibuprofen along with paracetamol) or meftal p helps.
If given in adequate dosage and frequency these drugs are safe in children.
The average weight of a 16 month old baby girl should be around 10 kg (50th centile)as per the WHO growth chart .The weight of 9.3 kg is between 50th to 25th centile. Weight at or above 50th centile (10kg) considered to be normal and below 3rd centile is very less.
Giving frequent small meals with added ghee/oil to make it calorie dense helps in better weight gain.

I shall be glad to answer if you have any further query.
Regards
