Can HIV Be Contracted Through Protected Vaginal And Oral Sex?

default
Posted on Tue, 29 Sep 2015
Question: I recently had protected oral and vaginal sex in a massage parlor. She put on the condom by rolling it over my erect penis with her mouth, gave me oral for about a minute. I touched the outside of her vagina with my fingers, while not ever inserting it into her vagina. We then had sex very briefly for about 1 min, still with the condom. Right after, she removed the condom herself with a towel, and cleaned me off. What are my risks of contracting any kind of STD?

Brief Answer:
STD unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. The coitus was pretty protected till the end with a condom. use of fingers etc does not cause STD so i believe you are safe in this regard. However post coital voiding should be made a habit instead of just using towel etc as that leads to infections like urethritis and UTI etc. Condom is usually not enough and it needs a complete coital habits modification for complete safety from not just STDs but also UTi etc.

Nutshell, your sex was protected and there was no fluid exchange enough to be suspicious about STD. However there is no harm in getting evaluated if you have worries.

I hipe it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan

Is do believe that with my situation, I may not have contracted anything. Although, how long after would I show any symptoms, if any?

Brief Answer:
A week on avergae

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getitng back

It takes a few days to a couple of weeks depending upon the organism involved. But with use of condom it is unlikely. Average of seven days should be enough for all the symptoms to kick in.

I hope it helps.

One last question, since I do get 2 follow up questions anyway, but given my situation should I get myself tested? Since, as you said an STD is unlikely, and I've recently gotten tested and came out all fine. Should I put my mind at ease?

Thank you for getting back to me

You should not be worries as your labs are all clean and STD is unlikely. So no need to run a battery of tests again. Just move on and focus know good coital habits . Surf Internet and read about good coital habits and adapt them. Rest assured. It's alright.

I hope it helps.
