Brief Answer:
Should be ideally avoided.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Garcinia combogia is usually considered safe and is claimed to be devoid if any side effects.
But remember long term side effects of any medicine comes out in visualization after a long term use widely. This is not an old product. Researches are on going so really it can't be said with surety that the product is 100% safe.
As far as having epilepsy and weight loss is concerned there is no absolute contraindication of using it in a person with epilepsy but the data and studies are very insufficient to claim that it is safe.
In my opinion you should avoid it.
Moreover your weight gain might be due to the anti epilepsy drugs that you might be taking.
Right diet and good exercise is the key for weight loss.
If you are unable to achieve weight loss with exercise and diet plans, you may consider taking Orlistat for weight loss.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
