Brief Answer:
She may use safely alpha lipoic acid...

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Alpha lipoic acid is a natural antioxidant produced by the body and as a such is very safety to be used for the treatment of liver failure (cirrhosis), tumors, diabetes etc.

Alpha lipoic acid interacts only with antitumoral therapy and anti diabetics, causing low blood glucose levels.

Since she doesn't take any antitumoral or antidiabetic preparation she may use alpha lipoic acid safety.

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
