Brief Answer:
Please consult TB specialist to know if you really have TB condition

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. The condition TB is a common in our country. TB can cause many problems including cough, infertility, seizures, pain in abdomen. However it is important to confirm TB before taking medicine. Taking TB medicine when not required can cause many side effects.

2. You have already tested 2 times for TB and results are negative therefore it is not correct to start on 6 months treatment with TB medicine because it can cause side effects if you do not have TB inside you.

3. In my opinion you should consult a TB specialist (called pulmonologist) and then proceed with complete detailed evaluation of TB and then decide whether to continue treatment or stop it.

Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.

Thanks for your reply..actually this time in hysteroscopy doctor. seen some lining which she thinks is of TB so she want us to continue with AKT-3.as TB in abdominal part test cannot be diagnosed easily and may give false result.

Brief Answer:
Always wise to get an opinion from TB expert

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. It is understandable that TB of genital and abdomen cannot be easily diagnosed and therefore treatment should be started only if there is a strong suspicion.

2. For this reason I suggest that you consult a TB expert so that other required tests can be done. Hysteroscopy is a single test and the findings are doubtful. Tests which are recommended for diagnosing TB in genital tract includes
Complete blood count
Chest radiographs
Tuberculin test
Menstrual blood for culture
Endometrial curettage
Histologic examination

3. In special circumstances, more detailed testing like serologic tests (oned you have got done last year) might be done.

In conclusion, I want you to take TB treatment only if an expert in TB feels that you can have TB in the uterine cavity or tubes.

Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
