Are Vaginal Discharge And Nausea Post Intake Of I-pill Signs Of Pregnancy?

default
Posted on Fri, 15 Jul 2016
Question: I am 22 and I had my last period on 21st may 2016. I had sex on 16th XXXXXXX 2016 and he used a condom. Also i took an ipill within 4 hrs of the intercourse. From that day itself i was having increased vaginal discharge. 4 days later, on 20th XXXXXXX i had a strong feeling of nausea and at night i had two drops of blood from vagina. On 21st XXXXXXX morning there has been again few drops of blood every 1-2 hrs and strong nausea all day particularly in the morning. Today on 22nd XXXXXXX im again having morning nausea and few drops of blood. Is it pregnancy or is it side effect of ipill..? When should i take the pregnancy test ?
If its due to ipill then how long shall the nausea and bleeding continue ? Because it is 3rd day of strong nausea now. I had taken pantop 40 for nausea but i think its not working.

Brief Answer:
Likely due to i pill

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
I pill induces withdrawal bleeding within 5-7 days of its intake.
I pill has the side effect of nausea due to its hormonal effect.
I will suggest you to wait for 14 days post intercourse to do the urine pregnancy test done, as if the pregnancy is there, then the pregnancy test will not come positive prior to it.
Nausea and bleeding due to I pill will settle in 7 days.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Hi,
The bleeding has I think turned into my periods because the flow next day was heavy and its gradually decreasing. Am I safe now from pregnancy..? or should I still take a preg test after the periods are over ? Nausea has also decreased
