Question: Hello doctor, I am suffering from mild headache on sides and back of my head and bit of soar throat from past few days, which comes and goes, I have a history of smoking and stopped it recently I am afraid if is this symptoms related to any cancer, recently I was having stomach bloating and indigestion issues where I consulted gastroenterologist and performed endoscopy which came normal. Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

Apparently, you are getting a lot of anxiety due to your history of chronic smoking.Mild headache on sides and back,in absence of any past history,is likely to be Stress headache.Sore throat itself is accompanied with headache, very often.

Please do some regular mental relaxation exercises like meditation/Yoga/Pranayama as that will be of great help in dealing with stress headache.Further, headache should improve to some extent,as your sore throat gets normal.

Don't restart smoking,to prevent further risks to your health. Please be reassured for now and don't panic. You can take proton pump inhibitors for dyspepsia.

If you have any follow-up questions,I shall be glad to answer.

Regards
