Are Metallic Taste In Mouth And Teeth Erosion Caused By Acid Reflux?

Question: My teeth don't really hurt, but seem to tingle daily before or after brushing. I try to ignore it most days, but bed time is annoying. My teeth make it very hard for Me to Sleep or relax. In the morning though, after taking hours to get to sleep. My teeth feel sore and on fire. Especially after I wake up, the taste is very metallic. Its wicked annoying. But i had bad orial hygine as a kid and almost every tooth is filled in my 32 years of life.

To be honest, Brushing and using mouth wash 2x a Day do nothing to releave this. My Dentist said I have no cavities though. After each cleaning nothing changes. Other Medical conditions I suffer from are Panic disorder i take xanax for. Which cause some dry mouth. GERD though I'm not medicated for it and had Gum disease since childhood.

Recently I read some where that Acid Reflux Disease can cause your enamel to fade , causing a sore or tingling in your jaw or mouth. If that's true, how do I get relief? Medicated Mouth Rinse or Antibiotics or something. Is there any hope? - Mr Gums

Brief Answer:
GERD, erosion, abrasion, sensoform or sensodyne

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the tingling sensation in the teeth is concerned, it can because of the erosion secondary to gastroesophageal reflux disease which results in Dentinal hyper sensitivity. The other possible cause can be a abrasion secondary to improper brushing habits. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can use a desensitising tooth paste like sensoform or sensodyne.
If possible upload the images of the teeth so that I can give you better diagnosis.
I hope I have answered your query. If any queries are there reply me back take care.
