Question: Hi,

My 3 year old son had a thyroid test but his t3 and t4 came up normal. tsh is slightly high. is it a cause of concern? Attaching the reports.

yes the child needs to be treated. TSH 6.7 is high for a child of 3 years. and this growing phase needs adequate thyroid levels. we also need some additional tests to support our judgement of treating the child
1. antibodies TPO &TGA
2. x ray left hand AP view for bone age
3. height in cm
4. parents height in cm
