Question: I usually get lower back pain with my menstrual cycle. This month prior to starting my period I started experiencing symptoms that seemed to be a yeast infection. I started my cycle about 10 days early, but my other symptoms have lessoned but not completely gone away. I also seem to be experiencing pain higher in my back and to the right. Advil is not helping at all.

Brief Answer:
Dysmenorrhea normal. Infection needs treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Dysmenorrhea is normal in women and back pain is an entity in that so no worries. Just take some mefenamic acid for the pain relief always.

however this yeast infection should be followed up with confirmation, genital swabs, urine exam and treatment to eradicate it completely. Periods regularity compromise is likely due to this infection. No worries, once it clears, periods will be back to normal.

Talk to your ObGyn and let them decide what is best fo you. I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
