You possibly have pharyngitis, throat infection. This can cause both throat and ear pain. You should start a course of antibiotics, and decongestants. Gargling with warm salty water would be helpful.
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM
Hi doctor, i had fever and dry nose and throat. But then i started feeling pain in my left ear and jaw and i also have a sore throat with phelgm and head ache.
sounds like you had initial throat infection pharyngitis and extended through eustachian tube into ear. its otitis , ear infection. fever confirms it.
you need antibiotic. use amoxicilline, aspirin gargles, and acetaminophen for headaches. middle ears connect through eustachian tube to throat. infections untreated extend there. but no worries its easily treated. follow the regimen
Hello how are you. I was wondering if my headaches may be caused by wet hair and the air conditioner on.
Yes, headache can be a symptoms of cold, fever or sinuses inflammation. Wet hair and air conditioner can cause this issues. The pain should be located in the front of the head or even in the face area. You may also have chills, sweating, weakness, throat pain, ear pain, etc. It is good to have it checked as any infection in the head area can lead to meningitis. Regards.
