My recent HDL reading was over 200, but my LDL number and triglycerides were in the normal range with a total of 302. should I be concerned?
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Total cholesterol of 302 mg/dl is a high value.
HDL value of 200 mg/dl is quite abnormal in the presence of LDL and trigylcerides within normal range.
You need to get HDL repeated. HDL is good cholesterol.
Value above 35 mg/dl is good. Its upper limit is 60 mg/dl.
Values above this range cannot be explained.
It may be due to some error.
Get repeat test for HDL.
below are my cholestrol level.
The levels of cholesterol and LDL AND TGL are very high. You should see a physician ideally who would also like to evalutae you for ailments like diabetes and renal profile. However you can start Rozuvastatin at a dose of 20 mg daily at night and repeat the lipids after 2 months
Hi Doctot%2C i have high TG and LDL%2C can i take Protinix
Hello and welcome to HCM,
You will have to look for constituents of the protinix powder.
Food items high in fats are best avoided as the TG and LDL levels are raised.
Besides avoiding fatty foods, consult your physician for prescription of drugs decreasing TG and LDL levels.
Thanks and take care
