Will A Course Of The Medicine, Duoluton, Regulate Menstrual Cycles?

My wife is 39 years old. She has irregular periods and she had heavy bleeding & pains during periods. Our gynec suggested to take Duoluton for three periods 21 days each starting from 3rd day. Now three periods are over. Will this course help to regulate her period?

These pills are hormonal pills so if your periods were irregular due to just estrogen progestogen imbalance then they shall benefit from 3 cycles only...but if there is underlying hormonal problem like thyroid or fibroids then that needs to be corrected individually
