Hi and welcome to HCM.

lupigest 200 is a form of the hormone progesterone.

In the first trimester, it's often given to women who have had infertility treatment to help support the pregnancy until 11-12 weeks when the placenta starts to take over production of progesterone from the corpus luteum. Also, it's given later in pregnancy for women with prior spontaneous preterm births or women diagnosed with a short cervix on the second trimester.

Ask your doctor for what purpose he/she is giving this tablets and if their is proper indication then it can be used. Many obstetricians prescribe this drug to pregnant women with above indications.
