What Is This Burning Pain In My Joint ?

i have this burning sensation that shoots up my right pinky joint when i press on it, and near my wrist, it does not bother me when i work, write type, or do anything physical, but if i press on either part of my wrist or the pinky joint it shoots this firey pain up my pinky, i do not remember hurting it, but i do alot of typing and writing. What could this be?

Hi bill,
It may be either ganglion or carpaltunnel syndrome, but if the pain intensity is less may be due to just muscalar pain due to excertion just dont worry take over the counter analgesics if does not subside you consult orthopedician
