I have my period delayed for 1 week and i went to gynac to test it and results were i might hav PCOS and doc advised me to take Ginette 35 for 6 months as its a contraceptive too. Should I continue it??? I am getting scared of the side effects??

Hormonal imbalance is the main cause of irregular or delayed menstrual bleeding. Ginette 35 Tablet is a combination of two hormonal medicines used to treat symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Ginette 35 Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time every day as it will help you remember to take it. The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, abdominal pain, headache, weight gain, and breast pain.
All side effects may not occur to a person since everyone reacts differently to a drug. Your side effects will reduce in the subsequent days when your body will adjust to the altered hormone levels.
