Is Duphaston And Progyluton Pills Safe To Take When Trying To Conceive?
Hi Dr. I have been diagnosed with PCOS, I have been TTC since December 2010. I am currently on second round of clomid 100 per day. I took clomid from CD 2-7. Dr then prescribed 11 white pills of Progyluton(Estradiol valerate 2 mg) from cycle day 5 to cycle day 15, and then Duphaston(10 mg) from cycle day 16 to cycle day 25 2 pills per day(10 mg). I did a clearblue digital OPK and received a positive smiley face on cycle day 14. Are the duphaston and progyluton pills safe to take when TTC? Or will they induce a period after i stop taking them? Will i be able to get pregnant. The dr said she is giving me this medication to thicken my lining. I would hugely appreciate your kind and professional response. Thank you.

Yes. You can take it as Duphaston prevents bleeding and Progyluton is for thickening of the endometrial lining. Only if you have a history of miscarriage then you can take Duphaston as a precautionary and preventive drug or else, there is no need of taking it.
