OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
The sonogram findings unfortunately suggest a missed abortion. The facts that the gestation sac is irregular and contracted, suggestive of an unhealthy pregnancy in addition to the absence of fetal cardiac activity are in favor. Please get a review by your consultant as you may need additional tests like serum beta-hCG titre estimation and a repeat trans-vaginal sonogram before planning further management. You would also need bleeding and clotting profiles if evacuation is planned as usually done after a missed abortion. Hope this helps.
