When Does An Ultrasound Show Positive Result For Pregnancy?

I m 5 weak pregnant...but still pregnancy is not coming in ultrasound. Doctor said to take proper rest..And advised to go second ultrasound in next weak. Is it common...? Why it is not coming in ultrasound..? My home pregnancy test is also positive. Plz reply

I have read your query and understand your concern.
TVS (Trans vaginal sonogram) can detect Gestational sac by 4 1/2 to 5 weeks.
TAS (Trans abdominal sonogram) can detect by 5 to 6 weeks.
Both can detect cardiac activity usually at around 6 weeks.
As you are still in 5th week usg might not have picked up This is perfectly normal. Kindly go for next USG IN 7 to 10 days.
So there is a VERY GOOD CHANCE that your next USG will turn out to be positive.
