What Could It Be If Having Tightness And Soreness In The Throat?
I have tightness and soreness in the throat that has been there for several months - my doctor is not worried but I am. I m aware of it all the time - no coughing - its not hard to swallow or eat but the constant felling is disturbing I use a Cpap machine and also concerned this could becauseing the problem so have cleaned it more often but to no success Not quit sure which way to turn - I m 55 male

As per your query you have tightness in throat as well as sore throat . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like :-
- Upper respiratory track infection , which can be bacterial or viral .
- Acid reflux or GERD
- Due to capap mahine . Sometimes people do not change its filter for long time which become the reason for sore throat . You should change it every 6 months ,
I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test or CT scan to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics or sometimes recommend use of humidifier , which moisten the air before it get inside body .
