What Causes Total Weakness And Sensitivity Only On Left Side Of Body?

Hi Doctor,I am 33yr old Asian female. I have been suffering from left side (tip of the head to toe) weakness since 5 yrs. It s exactly half of my bOdy (left side). I have been to many doctors, got many diagnostic tests ( MRI, CT, endoscopy, barium swallow etc....) but no proper diagnosis has been made except for fibromyalgia. But I feel like I have something more complicated as I experience total weakness and increased sensitivity on left side of the body. Please help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to left hemiperesis. For further assessment you may require computed tomography brain after neurologist consultation. Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition. You may require surgical intervention in case of internal bleeding.

Do regular blood pressure monitoring. You may require physical therapy after consultation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam Kale
