What Causes Dizziness, High BP And Low Pulse Rate?

After a good nights sleep I fell down with dizziness trying to get out of bed. Blood pressure 187/102 with pulse under 50. Extreme dizziness . I do not drink,smoke or have bad habits and take hctz 50/ 75mg and colestipol hcl 1gm. I diet well and exercise daily. I do have pre cancer on my scalp yet untreated why waiting for a dermatology appointment. I live a very health life style with no other meds at this time.

Thanks for contacting HCM. Dear patient your BP is high and can cause dizziness especially while getting up. Also the drug you are using hctz50/75 has known side effect of causing dizziness and slowing of heart rate and as you mentioned your pulse is under 50. So your medicine is not able to control your BP, is lowering your Pulse way below normal and is probably causing you dizziness as its side effect and also because of its inability to control BP. Please contact your doctor, he can change the BP medication and thus relieve your symptoms. regards
