Is it possible to hear your hearbeat outside of your body? Is it possible to hear your hearbeat outside of your body? My husband also heard it. We about to go to sleep when we started hearing a thump noise. It was coming from my chest. I was not in pain, nor dizzy. I did not feel any symptoms besides the feeling of every thump. I took my blood preassure and it was normal. My heart rate was 84. Everytime I changed positions or moved the noise would stop but as soon as I relaxed we would hear it again. I have a prolapse mistral valve (diagnosed as a child and now I am 45). Could it be related to that?

Hi, I m a 40 yr old female and have been on synthroid for 20 years. Recently I have been waking up in the middle of the night w/ racing heart rate about 120. Sometimes when I lay down, I feel like my heart is fluttering or something. Other than thyroid , I m pretty healthy. Not over weight and work out occasionally. I m not sure but I ve noticed that it is usually after I have had 2-3 glasses of wine earlier in the night. The fluttering is just when I lay down, doesn t happen when i drink. Does this sound like something I should worry about?
hi madam
you have got hypothyroidism on regular treatment
because of the symptoms what you have described ,maybe an overdosage of synthyoid
you have to check the tests -TSH and FT4
kindly reply with the test reports
thank you

What should your heart rate be when moving around during the day? I know that at rest the normal heart rate is 60-100 bpm for adults. When resting, like right now as I sit at my computer, my heart rate is 72. But when you get up and move around , obviously your heart rate increases to some degree. Is it normal for heart rate to get up around 102-108 when moving around doing things throughout the day? Also, is it normal for your heart rate to increase when taking a hot shower?
welcome to healthcaremagic
at rest your pulse rate is 72 and that is normal
heart rate will increase with amount of works done and the exertion for it more the exertion more will be the heart rate
if you are having breathlessness etc with increased heart rate you need a clinical check up and...

my daughter is 16yrs,was rushd 2 the hospital yesterday afternoon, because her heart rate was 286 beats per min. Its not doing that right now but she feels like shes gonna puke, shes alittle dizzy and has a headache,i just gave her gravol. She has some pain in her left forearm, feels like when its numb,so i think its tingly,& a pain also, should i worry, or could it just be because of yesterdays ordeal! They did a bunch of tests, gave her gravol through her intervenous, and shes getting a loop monitor on tomorrow.
The dizziness and vertigo, nausea and vomiting would all be secondary to the cardiac arrhythmia she is having. She probably has a very fast pulse which could be secondary to Atrial fibrillation or other tachyarhythmia. This will be diagnosed by the mobile ECG recording by the Holter monitor,once...

I have a hollow empty feeling in my chest, in my sternum area. I also have mild to moderate discomfort and an occasional dull ache in the centre of my back, that radiates out to my shoulders. I feel slightly nauseous, and unwell. I also noticed my heart rate will increase for no apparent reason. My normal heart rate is between 70-80 bpm. It's been as high as 113 today. This has been going on for about 12 hours.
Dear Ma'm

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

The description is not detailed enough.
It is suggestive of a disorder of heart rate / rhythm – possibly SVT (Supra Ventricular Tachycardia).

You should see a cardiologist and have further investigations – Holter monitor, ECHOcardiography, TMT (Treadmill...
