What Causes Acid Taste With Bad Breath And Tingly Tongue/lips?

i am 41, and taking levothyroxine for underactive thyroid, HRT for premature menopause (since I was 27) and arcoxia for joint pain. For 5 months I have had an acid taste in my mouth constantly with bad breath and a tingly tongue and lips. My gp has prescribed omeprazole for reflux but I do not have any heart burn and it does not seem to be working. My dental hygiene is very good. Any suggestions as to what this might be? Sometimes my lips and tongue feel itchy as if its some kind of allergy but I have tried cutting out different types of food to no avail.

I have gone through your query and can understand..

As per your complain acid taste in mouth along with tingly and itchy lips with no heart burn can be due to Laryngopharyngeal reflux or silent reflux and in this there are no symptoms of heart burn but the acid refluxes and the acid taste can be due to silent reflux and tingly and itchy lips can be due to effect of chemical acid..
I would suggest you to consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Upper G.I endoscopy can help in confirmatory diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
As of now you can take Omeprazole as well as antacids like Milk of magnesia before meals.
Take small portion of food every 2 hours, drink plenty of water, do moderate workout and avoid spicy food..
Do warm saline gargles..
