Ultrasounds Reports Uterine Lining Thick, Getting Problem With Periods. Should I Be Concerned?

I am 30 years old for the past 2 months my menstrual cycle has changed. It is brown spotting for 5 days followed by light red for 2 days then brown for 3 more days. I have always been really regular and so bleeding for 10 days alarmed me. I went to the dr and they ran a blood test and all my levels were normal, no anemia either. Then we did a vaginal ultrasound and that came back saying my uterine lining was too thick. I then went to the obgyn and he said he was not concerned about the thickness because of my age and that i should be starting my period soon. Well that was May 30. I started spotting brown on June 6th and has continued. This is completely unusual for me and I dont know what to think. Everything i read says 10 days of a period is a sign something is wrong. Should I get a second opinion or ask fo another ultrasound after this period to check the uterine lining?

hi, irregular and long heavy periods for 2 months. your ultrasound showing thich endometrium. blood reports normal. i would suggest go for thyriod test, to see if you have hypothyriodism. you have not given information about the number of children, weight gain... which will sometime help to make the diagnosis. see your endocrinologist for detecting the cause. all the very best.
