Transvaginal Ultrasound Showing Ruptured Cyst. How To Know When Will Be The Menstruation?
I had a transvaginal ultrasound on Saturday, and it was mentioned that there was a ruptured cyst that indicated ovulation and that she would expect menstruation to occur in a few weeks. Is there any way of knowing the timeframe during which I had ovulated (one day prior to the u/s? 5 days?)? I have very irregular cycles (I m currently on CD53).
hello Thanks for your query. If the ultrasound showed follicle rupture, then ovulation had mostly occured with a maximum of 24 - 36 hours prior to it. So you can be reasonably sure of the timeframe of ovulation. I hope this clarifies things. All the best.
