Tightness In Throat, Sore And Looks Like A Lump. Tenderness Between Oesophagus And Neck. Is It Thyroid?
My throat has got tight and feels like a lump is in there then over a few hours gets really sore, it is near my esophagus and my neck feels tender it last for a few days then goes! Then comes back a week later, it s getting worse and hurts to laugh or shout, when food repeats on me it feels like my throat closes then releases but is so painful! My voice breaks as well through the pain! Any ideas? Doctor thought maybe thyroid?

I have gone through your query regarding painful lump in neck which is there for few days than it disappear and after one week it reappear this put suspition for these possibilities-
(1) Thyroid lump.
(2) Enlarge lymph node.
(3) Sebaceous cyst.
(4) Thyroglossal cyst.
These above listed diseases are having their own clinical features but to confirm it you are advice for these investigations-
(1) Ultrasonography of neck.
(2) F.N.A.C. from neck lump.
By the help of examination and above two investigations one can diagnose the disease which than accordingly manage.
