Suggest Treatment For Thyroglossal Cyst
i have just got an ultrasonography done and have been told i have a thyroglossal cyst. i have been told that the only way out is surgery. i am keen to know if there are other methods of removal? If not is surgery vital or can it be avoided? and if surgery is required what is the healing time and the level of pain endured?

Yes, treatment for thyro-glossal cyst is surgical removal. Sistrunk operation is done for it in which they remove the tract along with a part of hyoid bone. Yes, you have to take rest for at least three weeks.
