Taking Acetazolomide For Intracranial Hypertension. Sore Knees, Edema In Optic Nerve. Permanent Damage?
I'm currently taking 750mg's of acetazolomide daily for intracranial hypertension. The edema in my optic nerve has almost subsided thanks to an LP and the medication. I've been on this medication for 6 months now. The last 3, my knees have become so progressively sore while sitting, standing, kicking or squatting that it is unbearable. I can't sit or get up without holding something. I believe it is the medication.
Is this permanent damage? Should I be taking a supplement to ease this?
